If you own or are purchasing a chartplotter, you will need a chart card to get the full benefit from the display.

The chart cart contains detailed information about coastline, seabed depths, obstructions, navigation aids and much more. A chart card allows much closer levels of zoom to be used.

First you need to establish what brand of chart card your chartplotter will accept. If you do not have an existing chart card to refer to, you can click on the following 2 links which will open compatibility guides for the two brands of chart cards offered. You should find your chartplotter listed on one of them. It will also advise which versions of each of the brands your chartplotter will accept.
